Welcome to GPPSS Preschool
Thank you for your interest in the Grosse Pointe Public School System’s tuition-based Child Development and Preschool program. This program has been established to complement our district’s tradition of excellence. We recognize a young child’s need in social, emotional and physical development. The GPPSS Child Development and Preschool programs are licensed by the State of Michigan and adhere to the regulations of the Child Day Care Licensing division.
The Mission of the GPPSS Child Development and Preschool program is to provide a secure and caring environment which offers young children opportunities to discover, share, make friends, grow and begin the journey of lifelong learning.
Currently providing care for essential workers and district employees 7:30am-4:30pm at Trombly, Poupard and Barnes.
Program Offerings for the 2021-2022 School Year:
Full Day Infant, Toddler, and Preschool: (ages 6 wks-3 years) 7:15 am-6:00 pm, located at the Barnes Early Childhood Center.
Full Day Prep, Preschool and Pre-K: (ages 2.5 years-4 years) 7:15 am-6:00 pm, located at the Trombly Early Childhood Center.
Full Day Pre-K: (age 4) 7:15 am-6:30 pm, located at Monteith, Richard, (Children attend Kid's Club at 3:38pm) (Must be fully potty trained)
Half Day Preschool & Pre-K: AM 8:30 -11:30 am, (ages 3-4 years olds) located at Monteith and Ferry.
