    Seniors, Jostens will be in the Main Hall during both lunches on Wednesday, December 7th. You are welcome to order cap and gowns in person at that time or on line anytime! Check Schoology, your email or the Friday eBlast for more information and details. See Mrs. Petz in Student Activities with any questions. 


    Freshmen!!!  Class Council elections are continuing TODAY!  Look for the ballot in Schoology. Your candidates are: President: Heidi Bryan, Isaac Brenner, Myles Meldrum. Vice President: Samantha Turner, Andia Nazarko, and Ava Fedirko. Secretary: Lorelei Carr and Betsy Ropke.


    South students, this week only: The Varsity Club is collecting gently used coats all week to benefit the local community.  Bring a coat to Cleminson Hall during lunch all week and you will get a chance to win a $25 gift card.  The club or team with the most coats can also win a $150 gift card for your efforts.  Don't miss out on a great opportunity to do your part and help those who are in need!  


    Did you know socks and underwear are the least donated item for the underprivileged?  Varsity Club, in coordination with the charity Happy Cheeks, is collecting socks and underwear for and donating them to people in need.  Collection will take place during both lunches by the main cross-hall. 


    Anyone wishing to be part of the school musical in any capacity, on stage or off, should join the Schoology group for updates and announcements. The join code has been posted near the choir room and Pointe Players bulletin board as well as the Grosse Pointe South Schoology page.


    Club News

    Model UN is meeting after school on Tuesday, December 6th in Mr. Peffley's room, 178. All are welcome! This is the first simulation and there is no experience needed to participate.  What is Model UN you ask... it is a simulation of the United Nations General Assembly and its multilateral organizations where students perform an ambassador role while debating topics such as gender equality, climate action, global health, and more.     DECA! DECA!  DECA testing will take place THIS Monday, December 5th at 6:45 am in the library. You must come with a charged device.  This is mandatory in order to compete in districts.


    Are you looking to make South a greener community? Conservation club is running a pop can drive starting until Saturday December 3rd. If you have bags you would like to donate, please drop cans off in the designated trailer in the S-Lot, or look for the bins around the lunch areas. Thank you for your support!


    Get in the giving spirit! The Black Student Union is holding a food drive for families in need, and a raffle for those who donate! Please give nonperishable items. Protein is preferred and all items must have a label. The more times you donate, the better chance you have of winning! Prizes include Starbucks, Hydrangea, Sugar Bar, and Village nutrition gift cards. Drop off all donations in Mr. Minor’s room- 190. The food drive will go from December 5th through the 16th. All donations will go to Gleaners food bank.
