  • High School Information

    Grosse Pointe Public Schools will once again partner with St. Clair Shores Adult and Community Education (SCSACE) to provide opportunities for our high school students to earn credit through their 2020 summer programming. SCSACE will offer a variety of online Odysseyware courses offered that meet 1x/week with a teacher throughout the summer programming. 

    Parents should complete the registration process no later than June 17th. Summer classes will begin on Monday, June 22nd and end on Thursday, July 30th. 

    On Monday, June 22 parents and the student will receive an email with important information regarding his/her class/es. This information will explain how to access the online program being used, username and password, teacher he/she has been assigned to, and a screencastify explaining requirements and an initial walk through of the online program.

    • Class Format:  Live classes will be conducted through Google Meet.  A link to the Google Meet will be sent out to the district email address for each student by July 3rd.  If you do not see the link please contact the director at lappina@gpschools.org.

    • Out of District Students - Please email bartosp@gpschools.org to add your student to our system for Summer Learning registration.  In the email please be sure to state your child’s name, grade, your phone number, preferred email address, and desired course.  

    • Payment – Course fees vary and are listed with the class descriptions in the online registration.  Non-residents will be charged an additional 50% over the listed course fee.  Registrations must be accompanied by full payment.  Payment by VISA, Master Card, AMEX, Discover, Diners Club or JCB is accepted online only.  No cash or checks will be accepted.  If your student(s) currently receive free/price reduced lunch, a 50% discount will be applied.

    • Refunds -  100% refunds will be issued through July 9th.  Refunds of 50% will be offered during the first three days. After the third day, no refund will be offered. Carefully consider enrollment prior to the start of each term in order to avoid loss of tuition costs.  All refunds will be issued back to your credit card. Refunds due to canceled classes only will automatically be refunded without filling out the form. ALL REFUND REQUESTS MUST USE THIS FORM.

    • Attendance – Teachers will be taking daily attendance based on students signing into Google Meet.  The parents of students who do not sign in will receive an email from the director.

    • Special Needs –Any person with a disability, who wishes to attend Summer Learning, but needs accommodations related to the disability, should contact the program director.  Please provide appropriate documentation when enrolling.
