Board Observers
-
Similar to the PTO Council, Board Observers are key communicators in the district. They maintain a dialogue between the organization they represent and the Board of Education. Board Observers meet a half hour before the regular Board meeting of the month, often at 5:30 p.m. Their participation in these face to face meetings is critical.
They walk through the Board agenda and packet of support materials for the month, then watch the Board meetings to be able to report on decisions and provide update on district activities.
Board Observers also share updates from their perspective and provide the Board with invaluable feedback. Those unable to attend the monthly meetings can watch BOE meetings on the Live Streaming site and dialogue with their counterparts and Board President via email.
