    Good afternoon Ms. Peeters,

Hopefully today finds you and all you love well and safe,

I agree that concerned parents are helpful and necessary. I would hope that we can work together to ensure the best outcome for all of our children during these unprecedented times.

    Please take care,

    Joe

    Good Morning,

Based on the board meeting last night it would appear the board (and really I think this has more to do with our Superintendents personal agenda) will move forward with reconfiguration this year.

Due to the emotional stress and anxiety of abruptly leaving Ferry has caused my daughter and an unknown time frame of when she can actually visit her new school to prepare we are now strongly considering either holding her back a year or leaving the school district entirely.

No one is asking you to scrap the work done on configuration, simply asking you make the responsible choice to delay 1 year. You are doing the students a disservice by moving forward and forcing GP parents into impossible situations.

And please know Mr. Herd - concerned parents are never in the way, we just want the best transition for our kids and moving forward with this when all preparations leading up to the transition for the kids like school site visits have been cancelled is just irresponsible.

    All,

Thank you for your hard work during this difficult time. I know this has been tough on the board and I recognize that.

I ask that with all of this change that you please not move forward for this configuration next year. If I had my way it wouldn't happen at all, but since I dont think that is likely I at least ask that you hold off for just one more year so that the kids don't have to endure yet another massive change in their lives right now. I think considering there will likely be another wave of corona in the fall/winter and no vaccine by that point there will be similar effects to the next school year. Closing schools and making big shifts just isn't the responsible thing to do right now.

    Thank you, stay safe.
