    In reviewing some of the letters the board has received I think clarification might help people understand the March 14th event.
    March 14th was selected by the students in Parkland Florida as a day for students across the country to stand with them in memory of their fellow students who were killed at school.
    It also is to raise awareness about being able to attend school safely.
    There is no national sponsor or organization that is tied to this.  It was created by Students in Florida
     
    March 24th is a Saturday and is an event called March for Our Lives. This event is sponsored by the Women’s March and several other organizations and takes place in cities across the country and is not related to the 14th event 
     
    I think some people might be confusing the two different events.
