I am confused by the statement in the email thread we received that Mrs. Pangborn is suggesting that the board did not have oversight on the March 14th events.

Just to clarify, we have in fact been kept in the loop on this via at least 4 emails that I can recall from Gary and Rebecca going back over a week. We also discussed it at the last board meeting following Mr. Rennell's public comment.

Since I am new to the board, can someone please explain to me, if board members had concerns about the planned event, wouldn't it have been more productive to discuss those concerns with administration rather than try to rile up the community? If a board member has a different idea for an event, aren't there more appropriate ways to address them, especially considering there is a scheduled board meeting before March 14th? Perhaps adding it as an agenda item might have been a better and more responsible. No?

I am also confused as to how this thread ended up being sent to the board.
