Dear Board Members,
I wanted to introduce Denise Sharples as the new Executive Secretary to the Superintendent. Denise has the blend of ability, people skills and work ethic to be an excellent addition to the Superintendent’s office. Her experience working in the Superintendent’s office, Residency, Curriculum and Human Resources offices in GPPSS made her an easy choice. I believe she brings the 389 experience to connect and better make us #OneGP! We can all work better together in 389.
Denise and I have agreed on a salary, stipend and mileage. She will be officially hired in the Personnel Report at the Monday, October 26, 2015 Board of Education meeting. She will begin the transition to the Superintendent’s office now. Her official office will be in the Residency Office for now. She will continue to work with Residency and will get ready for the new person to be hired ASAP. Her Residency Position will be advertised immediately. Once the position is filled, Denise will make her move to the Superintendent’s office. Her new desk will be in the front office where she can greet and meet those coming to the Superintendent’s office.
She will answer the Superintendent’s line, schedule appointments and meetings, prepare the October Board of Education Agendas and prepare for the recognition that happens later. Her residency office phone number is 313-432-3006.
Please welcome Denise to the Superintendent’s office. I look forward to working with her in her new position.
