Subject: LRE Comparisons; McLean Unit 5 Special Ed and High School/School System Data PointsHello, everyone,
First, thanks to Lois for the Novi LRE information. Is there similar data available for Grosse Pointe so that we can compare?
I went on the Illinois Board of Education and found some Special Ed statistics on McLean Unit 5, which are attached.
I have also attached some interesting data points on our high schools and school district as compared to the districts from which Dr. Niehaus and Dr. Matthews would come to us from. It is a work in progress, but I thought I would attach it anyway for your bedtime reading. The real surprising number to me was the square miles of McLean Unit 5 in comparison to the total number of students. I hadn't realized what a rural district it is.
I may get the census data for the communities entered in tonight. If I do, I will send you a revised copy.
In any event, see you all tomorrow.Ahmed
