Mission Statement
The mission of the Brownell Middle School counseling department, in partnership with parents and community, is to foster a safe and nurturing environment where all students reach their individual potential as life-long 21st century learners in the academic, career and personal–social domains. We strive to provide all students equity, access, and success through the middle school counseling curriculum.
Vision Statement
The students at Brownell Middle School are high-achieving learners who graduate high school equipped with the educational, career, and social competencies to become responsible and productive citizens in the 21st century. All students have access to a developmentally appropriate comprehensive school counseling program planned and implemented by state certified master’s level school counselors in partnership with educational stakeholders and the community-at-large. The school counseling program is aligned with state and national standards and competencies, supporting a rigorous district-wide curriculum that provides unique opportunities for each student to realize their individual potential as a student and as life-long contributors to society.
