    Homework Club

Homework Help is available in the Brownell library on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:20-4:20. Two staff members are available for academic help. There are also National Honor Society tutors from South who are available to help. This service is a drop in basis so students may voluntarily attend on a need basis.

    Academic Assistance

Academic Assistance is available to 6th- 8thgrade students.  This class helps students struggling with organization, academic challenges, and study skills.  This class takes the place of an elective and may be scheduled at any time during the school year.  Students may be recommended for this

program by counselors, teachers, parents, or administrators.

    Math Foundations

Math Foundations is available to 6th, 7th and 8thgraders who need additional math support. Math Foundations is a support class taken in addition to a student’s regular math class. The purpose of the class is to provide additional support for students as they work to meet the grade-level curriculum goals. Course content includes additional instruction on the concepts being taught in class, previews of upcoming lessons, homework assistance, and preparation for quizzes and tests. Taught in a small group setting, Math Foundations individualizes instruction to meet student needs. This class takes the place of an elective and is offered based on a math teacher's recommendation.
