Congratulations girls cross country! Twenty eight on the team set new season records in South's finest race of the season at the Gabriel Richard Invitational.  South's top five all had PR's and included Morgan Deenik, Claire Zurowick, Ava Carr, Becca Cook, and Adelina Parikh.  Great job cross country!

The Girls Swim and Dive team will swim against Anchor Bay TONIGHT.  Good luck, Lady Blue Devils!

What a phenomenal day for our boys this past Saturday, October 16! The Grosse Pointe South Blue Devil Cross Country team went to one of our favorite races (Gabriel Richard Invitational) and our results today showed exactly why: just too many PERSONAL BESTS to mention. Nearly the entire team ran PR's.

The JV was a solid 6th place of 15 teams, led by strong races from Ben Currier (18:34.7), Jack Restum (18:34.8) and Drew Rulison (18:46.2).

The Varsity was 4th of 15 teams, beating Ann Arbor Skyline and only bested only by the #1, #3 and #12 ranked teams in the state (Note: Today’s finish moves us to an impressive #21 ranking in Division 1). The boys ran GREAT as a squad, running some of their best times of the year.

Logan Detweiler was 3rd overall with a 15:54, the first Blue Devil sub-16 athlete since 2008 (i.e., Sonic’s tenure as HC). Brendan found some serious mojo with his 16:48, followed by Jake Vallan’s 16:57 (career PR), Jack Hurst’s 17:00 (), Michael Wholihan’s 17:04, Chas Mathis-Baliatico’s 17:24 and Ronak Parikh’s 17:32.
