    7th & 8th GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS

    Attention 7th and 8th grade boys

    Basketball tryouts will be held on November 4th and 5th.

    7th grade at 3:30pm in the main gym.

    8th grade at 6pm in the main gym.

    All students who are interested must have a completed physical form dated after 04/15/24 and gold card to try out. Forms are available from Mr. Woz, main office or online. This is a school sport that requires a $125 fee one time yearly fee that will be paid once your student makes the team if you have not paid already. Any questions to Mr. Woz at wozniar@gpschools.org.

     
    Parents: Please use the athletic staff menu to the left to contact your son or daughters' coach when you have specific questions pertaining to their sport. (Ex: practice times, meeting dates, turn in dates, event volunteers, etc...) Each team's daily schedule will vary slightly and the coach of that team is the most direct and accurate line of communication.
    General questions which pertain to the overall athletic program can be directed to the athletic coordinator  or wozniar@gpschools.org
     
    ** PLEASE respect the "24 hour rule" which means we ask that you refrain from discussing playing time, etc with a coach until the day after a game.  THANK YOU
     
     ####All athletes must have a current MHSAA Physical Form on file before they may participate in a tryout for any interscholastic team.  If you are NEW to our athletic program, you must have a physical on the MHSAA approved form and dated after April 15, 2023.  If a student does not have a physical, he/she will not be able to try out.  
     
    A reminder our athletes are STUDENT-ATHLETES. They must meet the code of conduct, which is passing 4 of their 6 classes, per MHSAA guidelines.
     
    A ONE TIME FEE OF $125 IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATHLETIC TEAMS.  CHEER, SWIM, CROSS COUNTRY AND 5TH/ 6TH GRADE BASKETBALL ARE CONSIDERED CLUB SPORTS AND HAVE A CLUB FEE WHICH IS $52
