Thank You, Grosse Pointe Foundation for Supporting Technology

The first graders and teachers at Defer Elementary School are very thankful to the Grosse Pointe Foundation for the technology grant of $2800.

The grant made it possible for the first grade teachers to purchase 12 Nook tablets, a wi-fi printer, earphones, favorite children books and educational apps. These tablets are used daily to enrich the first graders' learning and increase their hands-on experience with technology.
We would also like to thank the GPPS Technology Dept, Steve Woloszyn, Sandy Peirce at Barnes and Noble, and Karen Sullivan, our principal, for all their support and knowledge on making sure we were getting the best technology possible for our young learners.
Please hit on link below to see the first graders using and learning on this new technology.
