    Thank you. Please know that we conduct personalized tours regularly. We work with the secretarial staff to have consistent folders of materials available in each building. We’ll be conducting our annual review of these later this month in our secretarial roundtable meeting.

     

    Each principal is the point person for the tours of their building. We have worked with the Board of Realtors to circulate contact information to their members on this.

     

    Dr. Dean and Dr. Niehaus both stressed in our admin training this summer that these tours will be a priority and that they will be of assistance, often bringing families through themselves. All of our Open House materials also include contact information for each building and an invitation to schedule a personalized tour at their convenience (side 2 - attached).

    This (in my opinion) is the right way to handle bringing parents and prospective students into our schools.  If we are doing it already, we need to let people know we're doing it, train our principals on how to consistently represent the district in these tours and prepare the proper collateral materials.
