Kids Club

HOURS: 

• Monday AM: 7:00-9:05am
• Tuesday-Friday AM: 7:00-8:20am
• Monday-Friday PM: 3:38-6:30pm

Parents can drop off or pick up anytime during these hours.  

SCHEDULING:
Schedules must be a minimum of 3-days weekly.  This can be any arrangement of AM or PM sessions, as long as it is across 3 days total.  

Yearly Kids Club Fee:

Registration Fee: A non-refundable registration fee of $50 per child is due every year. This is due with your first invoice. 

In order to make a Kids Club payment, all registration must be processed, and you must have an active Brightwheel account. Once the Kids Club office receives all the registration paperwork, it is entered into our system and an invoice is sent out via email from Brightwheel. If you have not received an invoice or been contacted via email within 3 business days of sending in your paperwork, please call our billing office at 313-432-3067. 

All forms have to be emailed to: kidsclub@gpschools.org. If you are unable to email or scan your completed forms, please contact kidsclub@gpschools.org. All payments are made online via the Brightwheel software. 

Kids Club registration will open at 7:00 AM on July 1. Please note that all emails are timestamped and will be processed in the order they were received.

Important: When families send a follow-up email to check if their original message was received, it moves their email to the bottom of the queue. To help us work through the registrations as efficiently as possible, please do not email to check your status.

In order to register for Kids Club, all delinquent invoices within the Child Care Department must be paid in full. This includes: Tuition Based Preschool Programs, Camp O'Fun and Kids Club.

Registration for the 2026/2027 school year opens on July 1, 2026 at 7am. Forms received prior to 7am on 7/1 will not be accepted. 

Registration is based on first come, first served. Space is limited, and desired sessions may be on a waiting list.

To register, please follow these requirements and complete all forms on the checklist. 

Once we receive all the required documents and place your child on the Kids Club schedule for your school, we will email you confirmation of the days that you are scheduled for. 

Registration must be completed each year by each family, even if you were enrolled in the previous year. 

You are not able to begin care the same day you turn in your enrollment forms.

Steps to Enroll: 

1. Complete all required Kids Club forms and email them to the email address listed below. Once the forms are received and reviewed, we will send a registration confirmation to the email address provided on the forms. 

2. Invoices will be posted shortly after, through our Brightwheel software. If you are new to Brightwheel, you will receive a Brightwheel invitation. If you already have an account, you will see your invoice posted. 

Fill Out all Five Forms - ALL forms listed below must be completed and emailed to the Kids Club office: kidsclub@gpschools.org

1) ENROLLMENT FORM AND HEALTH STATEMENT 

Please fill out the registration information completely. Send completed and signed copies. You must register for a minimum of 3 days. These days must be consistent for the entire month. Should your days change for the following month, contact the Kids Club office immediately.  The Health Statement section at the bottom of the form is required by the state and must be completed and signed. Student ID is not needed. E-Signatures are accepted. 
 

2) CHILD INFORMATION RECORD 

This form is issued by the state and must be filled out completely. The address cannot read "8 Mile and Mack". The complete address must read: "12345 Mack, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236". Zip codes must be included. Phone numbers must be filled in. Physician information must be completed or write "none". If you do not have your child's Student ID number or their teacher's information, leave it blank.  E-Signatures are accepted. 
 

3) STATEMENT OF RULES

Return, signed by both parent and child, with registration papers. These rules must be reviewed with each child registering for Kids Club/Mid Club. E-Signatures are accepted.
 

4) SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE CONTRACT 

E-Signatures are accepted.
 

5) WRITTEN INFORMATION PACKET DOCUMENTATION

E-Signatures are accepted. 

 

Payment-Brightwheel:
Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a code to create a Brightwheel account.  YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A CODE TO MAKE PAYMENT UNTIL YOUR FORMS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED.  

Online Brightwheel payments are the only accepted payment method.

Kids Club rates are billed as a flat fee, meaning we do not bill hourly.

Kids Club Rates

The following rates* are per child/per day for the 2025-2026 school year:

• Monday AM - $11.25/child/day
• Tuesday-Friday AM - $10/child/day
• Monday-Friday PM - $13.75/child/day 

*Kids Club is staffed based on the number of children scheduled for each day. We are unable to give credit for absences to illnesses or activities.

Additional Fees:

• Registration Fee: $50/child is due each year 
• Late Payment Fee: $20
• Late Pick Up Fee (Pick up after 6:30pm):  $20/child for every 15 minutes after 6:30pm.  After the third late pick up, your child may be dismissed from the program.

There are NO credits for days registered for but not attended. Your fee pays for the direct operational costs of the program. When you enroll and sign up for specific days, you are reserving the time, space, staff, and provisions for your child whether they attend or not.  

Payment for each month is due on the 1st of the month. If payment is still not received by the 5th of the month, the child may be excluded from the program until payment is made. Please notify the office at 313-432-3067 if assistance is needed. Kids Club sites will not accept cash, checks or money order payment.

Please note: A parent or guardian is responsible for notifying the On-Site Director if your child will be absent on a scheduled day. 

Fees are reviewed semi-annually and adjusted if necessary.

Effective July 1, 2024:

• Payments made by credit/debit card will be charged 2.95% of the payment amount
• Payments made by ACH will be free of charge to the payer

BRIGHTWHEEL: Kids Club offers a streamlined online payment processing option through the software Brightwheel.  You can download this software to your phone, or access it from an app on your smartphone or compatible device.  Navigate to the Brightwheel page for registration information.  Families can make payments utilizing one of Brightwheel's verified payment methods. These methods are a linked bank account or credit/debit card. 

AUTOPAY: Brightwheel also offers an autopay option. This is a great way to save time and remove any worry about missing a payment! Please note, Autopay always triggers payment for the total balance due. 

Brightwheel is the only method of payment accepted.

Kids Club paperwork should be emailed to kidsclub@gpschools.org. All payments are made through the Brightwheel software. If you are unable to scan or email your paperwork, please email Crystal Fletcher at kidsclub@gpschools.org

Invoices are sent out via Brightwheel mid-month. Payment is due on the first of the month for the entire month's usage. If payment is not received by the fifth of that month, the child may be excluded from the program until payment is received. Please make sure to fill out the Child Information Record and Enrollment form with the appropriate email address.

Kids Club Family Handbook

For the 2025/2026 school year, 5th and 6th grade students are able to sign up for Kids Club. Students who attend Brownell/Parcells/Pierce will attend their closest Kids Club program. 

BROWNELL: 
Brownell students will walk to/from Brownell/Kerby for AM/PM Kids Club. Brownell students will be dropped off at Kerby for the morning session and will walk to Brownell for the start of school. After school, Brownell students will walk from Brownell to Kerby. They will be picked up from Kerby in the afternoon. Brownell/Kerby Walking Form

PARCELLS: 
Parcells students will walk to/from Parcells/Mason for AM/PM Kids Club. Parcells students will be dropped off at Mason for the morning session and will walk to Parcells for the start of school. PIERCE: 
Pierce students will walk to/from Pierce/Defer for AM/PM Kids Club. Pierce students will be dropped off at Defer for the morning session and will walk to Pierce for the start of school. Middle school students will be responsible for walking to and from their school and Kids Club. There will not be a Kids Club staff member walking with middle school students.

Half-Day Kids Club Rate and Information:

2025/2026 Half-Day (11:36am - 3:38pm) = $25

If a student attends after the bell (3:38 pm), they will be charged an additional $13.75 daily rate for Kids Club. 

All students attending the half-day Kids Club are required to bring a lunch. Hot lunch is not served on half days.

All sign-ups will be done via Brightwheel. Space is not guaranteed on 1/2 days and will be first come, first serve.

Creating Your Brightwheel Account:

1. Create a free parent account using either the web or mobile app. Make sure to use an email address that you will have permanent access to.  If you receive an invite to your email address, be sure to use that one when registering.  

1a. You will NOT see your child(ren) profile until the office has completed processing your registration.  Please allow 3-5 business days for processing.  

2. Confirm your child’s profile. You will see your child’s profile after you create an account. Please confirm all the information listed under your child’s account. If you do not see your child’s profile, please contact us with the email address you used to sign up. You will not see updates within Brightwheel until registration is complete. 

3. Set your account preferences. You can adjust your notification preferences within your profile settings on the app.

4. Add your payment information. Brightwheel offers secure, automated online payments that saves time for us and gives you advanced tools and reporting. Please add your payment information. Here is an online Payments Setup Guide with more info.
