Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners.

Why CTE?
CTE offers a unique opportunity to engage students in a variety of subjects, incorporating academic, creative and technical skills. Modern CTE programs reduce drop out rates, and encourage participation in postsecondary education
Across the State:
- 108,874 students enrolled in 2,173 secondary CTE programs
- 113,940 students were enrolled in/students participated in Michigan postsecondary institutions in 370 CTE programs
- 95.95% 4 year graduation rate for CTE concentrators (compared to 81.01%)
