• LIBRARY POLICIES
*No inviting food or drink to entice the critters are allowed in the library.*
*The library is a place to work and study - not socialize.  Please respect this rule during lunch time when students are working very hard to meet deadlines!

    TUTORIAL PASSES and COMPUTER ACCESS

Students must pick up a pass BEFORE school in the library or after-school for the following day to ensure there is a space - NO EXCEPTIONS!  Only ten tutorial passes will be issued for each hour, thus students are limited 3 times a week or less.

Please remember that the library is open before school at 7:05 am and after-school to 4pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Typically, lunch computers are also available.  :)

Sadly, there are instances when the library may be closed for testing or all the computers are used by classes. We apologize for this inconvenience.

**Computer Access is to complete school work not for access to games, ESPN, YouTube etc.**

    CLASSROOM COPIES
As a courtesy, the library will make free black & white copies of a presentation handout when the following timeline is adhered to:
Before School Drop Off = Lunch Pick Up
Lunch Drop Off = After-School Pick Up

    COPY MACHINE
Copies of notes, worksheets etc. cost ten cents per page.

    COLOR COPIES
A color print out for a class assignment is free, however, all other copies are 25 cents a page.   Email your class assigment to the library assistant or librarian for print-out:
    FLASH DRIVES
All the flash drives SOLD OUT.  However, we have some for check-out, please ask us.  We recommend all assignments especially PhotoStory to be stored on flash drives.

    BOOK CHECK-OUT & RETURN
A school-issued ID or library card is required for checkout.  Books from other libraries can be sent to South for your convenience.  South will also return books from other branches.

    RENEWING MATERIALS
The library staff will gladly renew library materials if you don't have a library card to complete this task yourself via the Internet.  It is not necessary to have the books in person.   ;)

As a Grosse Pointe resident, you can use your library card to download books to your MP3 player, iPod, EPUB reader or computer.  South library can download a book to a MP3 player for check-out, please see Mrs. McGuire if interested.
