This spring we continue to study the GP Library technology, concentrating on research and catalog skills. The students are so gratified when they are able to help Mom or Dad find an available book in the district from their home computer. Please ask them to demonstrate their skills; they are so proud!

The Library project to promote March is Reading Month was our annual bookmark contest for the 3rd - 5th grades. Participation was voluntary and we assured the students it would not be reflected in their grade reports. Their original drawings and slogans referred to books, libraries or reading. The chosen bookmarks - two for each grade - were determined by student vote in the library and have been reproduced in color. They are being distributed as we feature the "Artist of the Week" through the end of the school year.
