Administration

This marks my 34th year in education and 3rd year as principal of Pierce Middle School.

My undergraduate degree was earned at Aquinas College (Grand Rapids, Michigan) and graduate degree was obtained at the University of Detroit. My classroom experiences found me teaching Biology, Health Education and Physical Education at Detroit Austin Prep and Warren DeLaSalle Collegiate High Schools from 1974 to 1988. From 1989-1991 I became the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Detroit Mercy and the university’s first academic support coordinator to the athletic department. My administrative background has been entirely at the secondary level.  While at DeLaSalle I served as vice principal from 1991-2000 and most recently served as the assistant principal at Grosse Pointe South High School in the area of student services from 2000-2003 until my appointment to Pierce.

I have loved every minute of my experiences working with adolescents and young adults. My wife and I are proud parents of three students enrolled in Grosse Pointe Schools.
