Economics Team Seeks Volunteers
The Grosse Pointe North FED Challenge Team is seeking community volunteers to work with and judge a practice presentation in early April. Grosse Pointe North is participating in the nationally recognized FED Challenge Economics Competition on April 17. The FED Challenge is a nationally recognized economics competition, which asks students to analyze macroeconomic data, present on current economic indicators, and forecast the near-term future of the economy. Included in the contest is a 15-minute presentation, followed by a 10-minute question and answer session.
In early April, the students will present at a parents/information night. Volunteers would serve as judges for the mock competition. This is the fifth year that Grosse Pointe North has participated in the program.
The Conference Board and the Wharton School of Business recognize the program as an exemplary learning experience.
Interested community members should contact Dan Quinn, AP Economics Teacher, Grosse Pointe North High School.
