Find out about The Night Shift

On the door leading to Mr. Mark's office there is a colorful sign which explains what it is to be a custodian.  It reads as follows:

"The highest job always goes to the shortest person.  Dust bunnies are not a pet.  Know the cookie Mom on the P.M. activities. Always keep your broom in working order.  Be kind to Art Teachers. Know where the pencil sharpener is ...and empty it!  Know that bleach and ammonia do not mix well together.  Only you know how to push a chair.  Dumpsters are user friendly.  Know your call bells and be outside. Your work is never done.  Windows is more than a computer program.  Do it once, do it right, and then do it again tomorrow.  Smile.  Chalk board dust is different than pixie dust.  If it is on the floor, it's out the door.  Janitor in a Drum is a distant cousin to I Dream of Jeannie.  Codes to live by...it's on backorder, it's on my list, did you make out a work order.  It will be done by Christmas."

Mr. Mark does all of these and more.  He is a gentle man who is always there to help out or to "fix" a problem.  Ferry School is proud and lucky to have him.
