In celebration of National Teacher’s Week, May 2-6, Ferry Elementary School Teacher Jane Ellis was recognized as “Teacher of the Year” for 2005.  Sponsored by the Wal-Mart Corporation, this annual award is given to a local teacher who exemplifies outstanding teaching skills and dedication to her students. Wal-Mart Store Manager, Mr. Aaron Murray, personally presented this surprise award to Jane while she was teaching.
