Differentiated
Instruction Mini-Grant
The purpose of these
in-house grants is to help teachers implement differentiated instructional
units in their classroom. The usual grant will be limited to $150.
Preference will be given to grants associated with units for which a
differentiated plan has already been developed. Teachers are encouraged to
submit their plans and learning activities along with this form. Funds are
limited and grants will be considered as they come into the Curriculum and
Instruction for approval. All grants must be pre-approved before any funds
are expended.
Several teachers may
combine their efforts into a single request to accommodate more than one
classroom. Each teacher is still limited to $150 per classroom.
Once your grant has been
approved you may spend the approved in one of several ways:
-
Your individual building may
purchase the materials requested. Then the building secretary should send
proof of purchase to the Staff Development Office requesting a budget
transfer back to the building’s account.
-
Or you may request the Staff
Development Office purchase directly the items from your allocated grant
funds.
-
Or you may make purchases with
your personal credit card or cash. (But remember to get the tax exempt
number because the district will no longer pay sales tax in a
reimbursement check.) You then may submit the receipt for reimbursement
to the Staff Development Office at 389.
Differentiated mini-grants are available
throughout the year as funds allow.
