Word Processing I and Word Processing II

Prerequisites

No prerequisite for Word Processing I

Successful completion of Word Processing I for Word Processing II

I. Students learn to access the computer network, enter data using the touch method of keyboarding, and apply their skills to format documents similar to those they will prepare for classes in high school and college (i.e., reports, bibliographies, endnotes). An introduction to the creation and management of spreadsheets and databases is also included in Word Processing I.

II. Students increase their speed and accuracy in using the keyboard and apply advanced computer functions to format complex documents, spreadsheets, and databases similarly to those they will prepare for advanced college classes and graduate/professional school courses.  The all-important resume and cover letter are also taught in Word Processing II.
