| Students have an opportunity to make money while earning high school credit by working an average of 15 hours per week in the Grosse Pointe/Detroit business community. This experience allows students to hold a job, which is during the school day, as students are dismissed from school early in order to go to work. Business Co-op provides opportunities to work in a school supervised environment compatible with students' career goals (i.e., attorney, physician, CPA, etc.); it also enables students who may be looking for full-time employment upon graduation to be trained during senior year for a specific job. The student trainee is required to submit materials/assignments summarizing his/her experience and knowledge of the company's operations and the Co-op experience. | |
