Accounting I and II

Accounting is the language of business.  
I.  Accounting I acquaints students with basic accounting principles.  Upon successful completion, students are able to maintain a set of books and prepare essential financial reports for personal use or for a business organized as a service business for a sole proprietorship.  The learning goals are achieved through the completion of problems, business simulations, and computerized projects.

II.  Accounting II continues the development gained in Accounting I.  Vocabulary and basic accounting principles are enforced using a merchandising business organized as a partnership.  Students will examine and prepare special journals and subsidiary ledgers, payroll records, and essential financial reports.  The learning outcomes are achieved through the completion of problems, business simulations, and computerized projects.
