Parent Handbook

• Philosophy:
To provide a safe, friendly neighborhood environment where children develop an appreciation for
leisure-type activities that is developmentally appropriate and enhances growth.

• What Camp O’Fun /Club House Offers:
1. Camp will be at Ferry Elementary School: Camp O’Fun (campers 4 years, 9 months to 10 years) and  The Club House (campers 10 years and over).
2. A comfortable and safe environment where children can explore, play and relax.
3. Maximum of 10 students per counselor (usually much lower).
4. Qualified counselors who care about your child’s wellbeing and happiness.
5. Activities that foster cognitive, social emotional, language, and physical growth and development.
6. Procedures and discipline methods that teach and encourage self control, self-esteem and     cooperation.
7. A variety of equipment, books, crafts, games and toys.

• Camp O’Fun/Club House Goals:
Camp provides the kind of atmosphere your child might experience in a friendly neighborhood.  All
activities are planned with the Camp philosophy in mind.  Each session includes activities revolving around a particular theme.  Activities include art projects, cooking experiences, outdoor play, group games and sports, swimming (based on pool availability), free play, field trips and special guests.
