General Information

Hours:
Camp is open form 7:15 a.m. until 6:15 p.m.  Children must be walked into the camp and signed in
by an adult in the morning.  They should be picked up and signed out not later than 6:15 p.m.

Days:
Camp is open Monday through Friday, except the week of June 30 - July 3  There is no camp Friday, July 4.

Absences:
You must inform us if your child is going to be absent for any reason.  Call 432-3096 (Camp O Fun) to speak with a counselor or leave a voice mail message.

Field Trips:
Field trips are announced in advance. Your child must be at camp when the bus arrives and camp t-shirt must be worn.  For parents who do not wish their child to go on a field trip, no other care is available that day.

Late Pickup Fee
There is a $10 fee per half hour per child, payable in cash at time of pickup, if child is not picked up by
6:00 p.m.  Any billing questions: 432-3066.

Snacks
Snacks are provided in the morning and afternoon at no extra charge.

Lunch
Lunch is provided on field trip days.  On other days, campers must bring their own.  Please put your
child’s name on lunch bag.  Drinks are provided by camp.

Dress:
Children should dress appropriately for camp activities, e.g. short sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, shorts,
socks and gym shoes.  Label all belongings with camper’s first and last names.  We are not
responsible for lost or damaged clothing or personal belongings.

Swimsuit:
Campers should bring a swimsuit and towel on Monday of each week. Please take home Friday for
laundering.

Behavior Expectations:
1. Respect counselors and other campers.
2. No profanity or crude words.
3. No running in the building.
4. Stay with the group.
5. Clean up after games, crafts and snacks.
6. Respect school property.

Discipline Procedure:
Camp personnel use a positive method of discipline which encourages self-control, self-direction
and cooperation. In cases of serious misconduct, the following steps are followed:

  • First infraction: Warning by staff or director

  • Second infraction: Warning and notification to parents

  • Third infraction: Exclusion of student for one day

  • Fourth infraction: Exclusion of student for remainder of the weekly session (no refund of payment for week)

  • Extreme cases of misconduct, i.e. hurting another child or staff member or purposely destroying school property can result in immediate expulsion (no refund of payment).

Authorized Persons for Pickup:
Only a parent or a person authorized on the child information record may pick up children from
camp. Any change or addition to the information record must be made in writing to the director.
Changes may not be made by telephone.

Emergency:
In the event of any emergency or late pickup, call the camp  432-3096.

Medication Policy:
Prescription medication will only be given with written authorization from the parent.  Prescription
medication must have the pharmacy label with the physician’s name and instructions and the child’s
name.

Health:
For the protection of all campers, children must remain at home if they have any of the following
symptoms:
1. Oral temperature of 99 degrees or higher.
2. Intestinal problems with diarrhea or vomiting.
3. Any undiagnosed rash or communicable disease (chicken pox, measles, impetigo, pink eye, etc.).
