ASSIGNMENT: A Great Work of Digital Art

These are entries in a Photoshop contest.

 

The rules are:

 

Using any painting or artwork from one of the "Great Masters" (DaVinci, Rembrandt, etc.) modernize their work. Add modern clothing, places, or items and things that bring their artwork to reflect today's environment.

 

The DON’T’S are:

• Hate/Racist images.
• Inappropriate images.
• Entries that would make another user sick; vomit, disembowelment, excrement, etc.
• Blurred images. Unless blurring is a part of the image art.
• Hateful and/or bigoted entries that are clearly not satirical in nature.
• Any reference to Nazis and Hitler.
• Poorly done, low quality images that show no effort whatsoever.
• Images that do not fit the spirit of the current theme.

 

Go to the Web Museum Website: http://www.ibiblio.org/wm/paint/

Choose a famous painting and save it into your “My Pictures” folder.

Start up Photoshop, and then open the picture you saved.

Save the picture as: Artwork

Edit the picture; add modern clothing, places, or items and things that bring their artwork to reflect today's environment.

Don’t forget to save the picture as a Jpeg file when you are finished. Do a File> Save As> and save it into your Work folder in the Student Shared Drive as: Artwork
