Leadership PowerPoint

 

You will be creating a slide show for one of the following leaders: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, or Martin Luther King Jr. Choose one. Your intended audience is elementary school students, so make your information and vocabulary level appropriate.

 

1.     Gather the information listed below about your person using the World Book software. 

2.     Create a slide show with at least eight slides.

3.     The show should run automatically. All animation should be “after previous” and timed with no mouse clicks, try using an Animation Scheme. Set the slide transitions to go after 5 seconds.

4.     It should have an interesting look with appropriate graphics. There should be good contrast between the text and the background. Animations should be interesting, but not over-used!

Slide 3 – Title: Early Life

Pick 2 to 3 things that happened early on in their life and provide a brief description of each.

 

Slides 4 – 6  Title: Choose your own titles.

Make 3 slides that portray important events in this person’s life. Add clip art, sounds, movies, and photos

 

Slide 7 – Title: The Pen is Mightier than the Sword

          Each of these men were great orators, create a slide about the following speech.

·        George Washington: Farewell Address

·        Thomas Jefferson: Declaration of Independence

·        Martin Luther King, Jr.: I Have a Dream Speech

·        Abraham Lincoln: The Douglas Debates

 

Slide 8 – Credits

·        Give credit to World Book in this format: Contributors Last, First Name. “Title of Article”. Name of Program. Copyright and Copyright Date. See example below.
