The Grosse Pointe Public Schools Kids Club

  • The Grosse Pointe Public School System recognizes the need for school-based childcare in this community. Officially titled “School-Age Child Care Program” (but informally known as “Kids Club and Pointe After”), this self- supporting program is aimed at providing a supervised and safe environment for elementary school children before and after school.

  • Interesting activities are planned which are developmentally appropriate and enhance physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth. The opportunity to be with friends in a supervised program benefits children and offers parents a safe, practical solution for childcare needs before and after school.

  • Licensed by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services Office of Children and Adult Licensing.

Current Information:

Invoices for September will be mailed on October 8, 2008 and the balance is due October 31, 2008.  It may be paid by check  or money order and mailed to 389 St Clair, Grosse Pointe, MI  48230 or put in the white drop box behind the building at 389 St. Clair.  The payment may also be given to your On-Site Director or charged  to a credit card by using the PayPal button listed on the Payment Options tab located on the left side of this page. Please make the check or money order payable to Kids Club and write the student ID #  that is located on the top right of the invoice on the bottom of the check.  Please call 432-3066 with any questions.

  • Registration forms for the 2008-2009 school year are now available. Please scroll down to the bottom of this page to access the forms. Remember to send two copies of the Enrollment page for each child.  Rates will remain the same as this school year; $5.00 per morning, $10.00 per afternoon, $20 per half day and $35 per full day coverage.  The registration fee is increased to $75.00 per child and is non-refundable. Please see the Handbook & General Information tab at the left  for more specific information such as times and absences.

  • There will no Kids Club coverage on Tuesday, November 4 at any school due to the election.

Registration:

  • To begin the registration process, please follow these requirements and complete all forms on the checklist.

  • Each school year, children must be registered in Kids Club.  Registration must include ALL of the following completed forms in the checklist.  Please fill out, print and send the forms to:
    Kids Club, 389 St. Clair, Grosse Pointe, MI 48230

  • You may mail a check along with the registration papers or use our secure PayPal option for charges.  See Payment Options for details.

Forms Checklist:

  1. Enrollment Form and Health Statement (Interactive Form:  type info, print two copies, sign and mail)
    • Please fill out registration information completely. Send both completed and signed copies.

    • If you do not know exactly when your child will use the program, please do the best you can to inform us of intermittent morning or afternoon use. It is also your responsibility to notify the On-Site Director of your schedule as soon as you know it.

    • Attach a $75 check or money order (enrollment fee) made out to: "Grosse Pointe Kids Club." Or use the secure PayPal link on the Payment Options page: type $75.00 in the amount. (If registration is received in the office by July 31, the fee is reduced to $65.) 

    • The Health Statement at the bottom of the form is required by the state and must be completed and signed.

  2. Child information Record - (Interactive Form:  type info, print, sign and mail)
    This form can be filled out online, printed, signed and mailed.  This form is issued by the state. Complete every line.  Address may NOT read "8 Mile at Mack." The complete address MUST read "15729 Mack, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236."  Zip codes must be included.  Phone numbers must be filled in. Insurance information must be complete or or write "none".

  3. Statement of Rules  - (please print two copies, sign and mail)
    Two copies of the Statement of Rules are needed. One copy must be read, signed by both parent and child, and returned with registration papers.  Keep the other copy.

  4. School-Age Child Care Contract - (Interactive Form:  type info,  print, sign and mail.)
